Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how SnapLedger collects, uses, discloses, protects, and retains information when you use the SnapLedger website, web application, mobile or wrapped app experiences, and related services.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to SnapLedger services that link to it. It does not apply to third-party websites, brokerages, identity providers, billing providers, financial institutions, market-data providers, or app stores that operate under their own privacy notices.

2. Information You Provide

We may collect information you submit directly, including your email address, account profile details, user preferences, support messages, feedback, manual holdings, manual accounts, watchlists, notes, settings, alert preferences, and account-deletion or export requests.

You should not send brokerage passwords, one-time codes, private keys, full account numbers, government identifiers, or other sensitive information through support channels unless we specifically request it through a secure process.

3. Authentication And Account Information

We process authentication identifiers, session records, refresh tokens, device identifiers, security events, audit records, CSRF tokens, and related metadata to sign you in, keep sessions secure, detect abuse, maintain account access, and support account recovery or deletion.

4. Connected Brokerage And Financial Account Data

When you choose to connect a financial account, SnapLedger receives read-only brokerage and account information through a third-party connection provider. The information available to SnapLedger depends on your permissions, the connected institution, provider support, and provider availability.

Connected-account data may include institution and account metadata, account names or types, balances, holdings, positions, quantities, average costs, orders, transactions, activity history, dividend and corporate-action context, sync status, connection health, and provider diagnostics.

5. Market Data And Derived Analytics

SnapLedger may process quotes, prices, historical bars, market-session state, corporate actions, news, issuer reference data, asset metadata, classifications, performance calculations, exposure summaries, alerts, and other derived analytics. Market data and analytics may be delayed, incomplete, estimated, stale, cached, corrected, or unavailable.

6. Device, Usage, And Diagnostics

We may collect device and browser details, IP address, approximate location derived from network information, pages or features used, timestamps, feature flags, app version, request metadata, websocket and sync diagnostics, error reports, performance metrics, and security signals to operate and improve the service.

7. Cookies And Similar Technologies

SnapLedger uses cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar technologies for authentication, CSRF protection, device recognition, user preferences, security, billing return flows, quote-stream ownership, app navigation, and diagnostics. Disabling these technologies may prevent the service from functioning.

8. How We Use Information

We use information to provide portfolio monitoring, watchlists, analytics, alerts, settings, support, billing status, account export and deletion workflows, security controls, fraud prevention, service diagnostics, product improvements, and legal or operational records.

We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to understand reliability, coverage, product usage, provider performance, and market-data quality.

9. How We Share Information

We may share information with service providers that help operate SnapLedger, including hosting, infrastructure, authentication, connected-account functionality, market data, analytics, error monitoring, security, email delivery, customer support, app distribution, and billing.

We may disclose information when necessary to comply with law, enforce our Terms, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, complete business transactions, or respond to valid legal process. We do not sell personal information.

10. Third-Party Services

Third-party services may process your information under their own terms and privacy notices. This includes financial institutions, brokerage connection providers, app stores, billing providers, identity providers, hosting providers, monitoring providers, and market-data providers.

11. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, comply with legal or billing obligations, support audit trails, prevent fraud or abuse, and improve reliability. Retention periods vary by data type, account state, provider behavior, and legal or operational requirements.

12. Account Export And Deletion

Authenticated users may request account export and account deletion from Settings. Deletion is designed to remove or anonymize local account records after required third-party cleanup steps complete. Some records may remain where retention is necessary for legal, security, billing, dispute, fraud-prevention, audit, backup, or compliance purposes.

13. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information, including session controls, CSRF protections, origin checks, audit records, and access restrictions. No system can be guaranteed secure, and you remain responsible for maintaining access to your email, identity provider, devices, and brokerage accounts.

14. Children

SnapLedger is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

15. Changes To This Policy

We may update this Policy as the service changes. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice where required or appropriate.
